40th Birthdays Rock…

..when you are surprised with a Parisian themed party!

My husband & BFF Andrea conspired I mean secretly planned this thing for months! Even my kids were in on it-and they didn’t breathe a word of it! That is the most amazing part. Here’s the end result:

Guests were told to write a message on one of many Paris inspired postcards.
The place was transformed thanks in large part to swank new rental furniture and an Eiffel Tower shaped heat lamp!

 

 

And did I mention the string quartet?

 

Fabulous Food

Good gosh, the dessert table was almost too pretty to eat…ALMOST! Madeleines, Macaroons, Petit Fours, Cake Pops, Strawberry Swans and each one was très délicieux (that means YUMMY!)

SURPRISE!

Co-conspirator Claire kept me busy with lunch and a movie until party time!

What an amazing evening! I should have written this sooner, but I was still just basking in the glow of shock and happiness that I just didn’t get around to it. I know it’s cliché but it was an evening I will never forget…thanks in part to my wonderful family and friends!!!
