Magic Kingdom turns 45 today (October 1st). Let’s celebrate by talking Disney together. I’m going to take a stroll down memory lane and flashback to some of my favorite memories of the Most Magical Place on Earth, and then I’d love it if you’d share some of yours with me in the comments. “So come on everybody, here we go…”
My first trip to Magic Kingdom (circa 1980)
Rocking the Polaroid photos! And yes, I have a gray Mickey sweatshirt still. Some things will always be precious to you.
My first runDisney race (Tower of Terror 10 miler)
Funny story: signed up for this race thinking it was a 10K. Nope-10 miler. Note to self: a 10 MILE run is NOT the same as a 10K. I still survived, and a runner was born.
Fall Y’all is My Favorite Time of Year
Even though Magic Kingdom is amazing in December, I have to say my favorite season to visit is the Fall. Maybe it’s because I love dressing up for Halloween and Mickey’s No-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Diva Weekend
When online friends became real life friends. I found my tribe. Love these amazing women. My love of Disney has brought me so many wonderful friends!
Last Trip to Magic Kingdom Before Baby # 2
I’m extremely nostalgic about this trip probably because I was 7 months pregnant with my now 11 year old. But to see the glee on my soon-to-be big sister when she saw Mickey Mouse was quite a joyous moment. Or pregnancy hormones. But I’m thinking it was because I was seeing this as her last vacation to Walt Disney World as an only child. And she was just dang cute!
Getting in the Holiday Spirit
Cinderella Castle Dream Lights. They take my breath away. When combined with Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, I’m a teary eyed mess!
Face Time with Mickey
Anytime I get to see the Big Cheese, it turns me into an even bigger cheeseball. This was at the Disney Social Media Moms Conference, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to be invited.
My son’s first birthday at Walt Disney World.
Celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World is the best! Especially when it’s your child’s. And when it’s their first birthday? Priceless! Here is our lunch at Crystal Palace with his favorite food group: Mac & Cheese.
Riding Dumbo the Flying Elephant Makes Me Feel Like a Kid Again.
For the attraction that takes me back to when I was a kid, Dumbo for the win!
So now it’s your turn! Share with me your favorite Magic Kingdom memory.
