There’s a new Bojangles’ in town! Greenville, SC is home to the rollout of the very first newfangled Bojangles’. And the piece de resistance: what they call “Biscuit Theater” where you you watch the process of made-from-scratch biscuits! My tour last week included a sneak peek at what lies in store for diners and a unique experience where I learned the ways of the Master Biscuit Makers.
“It’s Bo Time!” Bojangles’ is opening an all-new, state of the art restaurant on Laurens Road in Greenville, SC. From the layout to the design elements to the featured Biscuit Theater, no detail has been overlooked in mapping out the first of its kind making its debut on January 10-11. We’re sharing a sneak peek at what’s in store for future Bojangles’ restaurants, currently in 12 states and D.C.
First Impressions
Wow-this isn’t your grandma’s Bojangles’! With varied seating, tile ceiling, and chicken wire accessories, the modern and the traditional harmoniously blend together. My favorites were the Adirondack chairs, the chicken wire glass dividers that line the checkout area, and the newest focus on the biscuit making process with the Biscuit Theater.
I’m also very impressed that the drive-thru and dine-in sections of the kitchen are delineated so both can be functioning and running at full capacity without impacting the other. Even the stainless counters along the food line are heated and crocks holding the sides are state of the art so food doesn’t get cold as it makes it way from the kitchen to the diners.
Biscuit Theater
Nothing like putting the made-from-scratch biscuits front and center. A plate glass window behind the checkout counter shows the Master Biscuit Makers as the work the 48 steps to make each batch of biscuits.
Frankly, this idea is brilliant. Why not shine a spotlight on these beauties?
Training with a Master Biscuit Maker
For a Southern gal, getting to press, roll, and prepare the biscuits was quite thrilling I must admit. We made three batches, and it gave me a sense of the steps involved in preparing each tray of piping hot biscuits.
I even got to bring home a six pack of the Cinnamon Biscuits. This is my kind of six pack in the New Year!
I couldn’t have been more excited to pull my biscuits out of the oven and compare them to the quality control chart for shape, size, height and color. They looked amazing!
Grand Opening Events
Tuesday, Jan. 10: 6-9pm
This is the pre-opening party. Free Bojangles’ will be available to the first 200 guests (while supplies last), with live DJ, games and prizes throughout the evening.
Wednesday, January 11: 5am-on
The first 100 people in line on Wednesday morning will each receive a $100 Bojangles’ gift card, commemorative T-shirt, Bojangles’ fry seasoning, key chain and a coupon for a free Bojangles’ Legendary Iced Tea. Anyone arriving at the store before 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11 can enter for a chance to win free Bojangles’ for a year, free Legendary Iced Tea for a year or a tailgating prize pack.
10am: Grand Opening Ceremony
